Book fair: "Book 'Em North Carolina" -  an event designed to raise awareness of the link between high illiteracy rates and high crime rates, and to raise money for literacy campaigns in Robeson County. The fair will feature approximately 75 authors participating in panel discussions, indificual talks, and workshops.

I'll be there with The Serial Killer's Daughter, poems that arise from the life and execution of Velma Barfield, a Robeson County native and resident until her conviction of first degree murder. Panel discussion at 3 p.m. Check the website for updates on specific events and times.
